Yes, this is a common Magill job. We give the couch a strong pre-treatment and full extraction to lift as much of the built-up staining as the fabric will release, and we can provide a receipt showing the couch was professionally cleaned for your agent or landlord. Book it in with your inspection date and we will work to it.
It is a real risk with the wrong method, which is exactly why we test first. Older wool and delicate blends can shrink or watermark if they are over-wetted, so we fabric-test in an inconspicuous spot and, if there is any doubt, use a gentle low-moisture clean instead of hot water extraction. Done that way, a good old lounge is cleaned safely rather than gambled with.
